LEAD CASTINGS

Overland Lead specializes in custom lead casting. Our experts make high precision lead castings for small lead containers, large counterweights or nuclear fuel containers. Everything from radiation protection to fishing weights can be manufactured using lead castings we produce in our metals facility in St. Louis, MO.

We have the in-house capabilities to hand-pour small, specialty lead parts as well as produce large custom lead weights and products used in nuclear pharmacy, radiopharmacy, x-ray facilities and more.

Overland Lead can cast lead into your aluminum, carbon steel, or stainless steel fabrications. If you have a steel fabrication or weldment that requires lead fill, we can do it!

 

Typical alloys include ASTM B29, QQL 171, QQL 201, 2-4% Antimonial lead, 6% Antimonial lead.

Overland Lead also provides heat controlled lead pours to ensure porosity during lead solidification. Need lead integrity testing? We get Gamma Scanning results with Cobalt or Iridium sources with our industry partners.
